Emery Park & Playground – 200m – shaded by towering Norfolk Island Pine trees and adjacent to the river, this park includes a play structure, covered & uncovered tables, BBQs and toilets.

Where can I get groceries & other stuff I need?
The nearby General Store is perfect if you only need a few basic items & don’t want to drive. They even have a selection of DVDs available for rental. For more substantial shopping, Gerringong is your best bet. Its only a 5 minute drive, and includes a supermarket, cafes, restaurants and many other lovely stores. If you don’t have much to carry, why not walk the scenic path from Gerroa to Gerringong? It’s just under 3.5kms from Southerly Change to the centre of the Gerringong shops; the path takes you right past the stunning Gerringong Golf Course.
What’s worth visiting in the local area?
Once you’ve explored nearby Gerringong & its gorgeous Werri beach, visit the beautiful seaside township of Kiama & the famous Blowhole – it’s only a 15 minute drive. The delightful rural towns of Berry (12 minutes) and Kangaroo Valley (35 minutes) are also worth a trip during your stay. Taste local produce or browse the art & handicrafts during a stroll around one of the weekly or monthly local markets in Gerringong, Kiama or Berry. There are quite a few wineries nearby – the historic Coolangatta Estate is only 10 minutes drive. Get back to nature on the Kiama-to-Gerroa Coast Walk, (try the Whale Watching Platform!) or have a picnic in the Seven Mile Beach National Park or Or if you’re after some serious fun, hit the water slides & other rides at Jamberoo Action Park, it’s only a 30 minute drive.
What can I do in cooler weather?
There’s plenty to do out of the water, making Gerroa a great place to stay year-round. Explore local antique stores, markets, galleries & wineries. Try bicycle or horse rides, golf, bowls, fishing, tennis, squash, bird watching, walks, and of course, dining out. If the ocean is a little nippy, you can always swim at the Kiama Leisure Centre’s heated indoor pool.
